Received them yesterday 8/5/22 and washed my dog this morning, dried him, and then started to trim him with the new scissors 8/6/22. I was very happy that I was able to use a straight scissor again. My other pair, the straight pair stopped working a couple months after I bought them. These worked really nice. They are made nice and they are smooth and quiet. I've been cutting my Bichon's thick coat for almost 16 years. This past year he decided he doesn't like the electric clippers so I am now cutting his whole body with scissors. I don't know who needs to be medicated before grooming, him or me. But these scissors made easy work of day one of grooming. I can't say I ever used a professional pair but my first set was really good until they weren't. So glad I got this set. I would recommend them if you are just starting out or if you've been doing it a while.Pro groomer here and I expected less than what I got in terms of quality. The edges were sharp and the cut is pretty decent. I’ve had them for about two months now and bought them to use while I had my other shears sharpened. The thinning shears work amazingly well but I do need to sharpen the curves and straights already but that is really the only negative I have for them.I bought this as a temporary set while my other shears get sharpened. They surpassed my expectations. I love how the blenders cut & actually prefer them to my normal blenders. I don’t know how long they’ll hold an edge, but I’ve been using them a week, and so far so good. My only complaint is they do not come with finger rings. Thankfully they are light weight shears so it’s not a big deal.i love the color but i would prefer 6in scissors and they get dull after a month of using.. wish it would last longer but for the price i’d say its goodGreat starter set, but ive been grooming for over 20 years and i love ordering these for the thinners. They are a great value for the price point.I originally got there to use as a backup pair of shears for when my regulars (kenchii and buttercup) shears are at the sharpener. These are light, very durable and sharp! I run a salon and see anywhere from 5-10 dogs a day and I was very impressed at these shears. I honestly didn’t think I’d get much for $40 and man I was wrong! I almost prefer these over my kenchii Japanese steel shears. The straights are okay, but the curves and thinning shears are perfect! I usually end up using these daily, the curves have been great for just about anywhere on the dog. The thinning shears blend flawlessly and give all my grooms that nice finishing touch. I highly recommend these for anyone, especially skeptic professional groomers. I was pretty skeptic at first, but like I said...I was wrong. These shears are amazing! You really won’t be sorry, give them a try and see what they can do. I’m so glad that I did! They work just as good as the other expensive brands that you see! I attached a photo from a groom earlier this week, all I used was the curves and thinning shears that day and I’m falling even more in love with with!Obviously they aren’t the best EVER compared to 200 dollar shears but they work quite well esp for the price.I'm a professional groomer of 18 years. I needed a back up set of scissors and decided to try these after reading reviews. They are very pretty and cut very well for the price. The blades on the curves are wider than I would like on a short shear but they work well. The comb is nice but would like the teeth a little closer together on both ends.Great set and well presented in carry case ?For the price of this item it is good valueLooking forward to learning how to groom my mini Aussiedoodle. Already thrilled with the comb. She didn’t bite it nearly as much as the other one I was using. Good weight to it and love that the teeth are spaced in two different widths so I can use one comb for both dogs.Tried out the scissors quickly and they seem to do a decent job.Decided it’s too expensive to get professional grooming every 4-6 weeks. Lots of videos on YouTube to learn from and just go slow and lots of treats!!One out of the three pairs of scissors were actually sharp. I don’t have any places around me that I can get them sharpened. I tried a self sharpening tool but that made them worse. If they actually cut hair they’d be great.Got this for grooming my dogs and that is quality of life. Very good quality material and seems to be durable if taken good care of. I do recommend.
