This is my second purchase of this style of lobster/crab scissors. Bought the first one at a grocery store for quite a bit more money.This is a good product, but has a couple of quirks.First off, you will probably lose the little red clip that holds the scissors closed (making them a little more streamlined for storage in a drawer). Didn't see to affect the performance.Second, the spring that makes the scissors less tiring can fall out of where it is stuffed in the inside of the handles. Easily fixed.Third, and most critical: hand wash ONLY, and do not drop the scissors into extremely hot water. DO NOT put them in the dishwasher! I washed my first set in the dishwasher, not thinking about the properties of the metal shanks embedded in plastic. Worked fine for a long time, then at some point, the blunt end of the plastic sheared off precisely at the end of the metal inside the handle. Did it on one side, then finally the other. The now-stubby scissors still work, but you don't have much leverage without the full length of the handles. And, yes, I did try to glue the handles back together, but even Gorilla glue couldn't make them stay together.So, despite the quirks, I bought them again. In a multi-pack. With fun, metal seafood picks, to facilitate getting at the tiniest bits of sweet crab or lobster. I can even use the picks to pull out leg meat from crawfish, when crawfish are in season.
